Project: Metro Bank, Liverpool Street

Saper Glass are delighted to announce that they have secured another Metro Bank, this time in London’s Liverpool street. The branch will be located within an existing retail space which is being extensively remodelled to achieve Metro Bank’s trade mark appearance featuring glass facades with polished stainless perimeter framing running the full length of both the Bishopsgate and Liverpool Street elevations. Internally there will be glass partitioning forming a conference room plus individual meeting rooms. Liverpool Street will be Saper’s 26th Metro Bank project.

Project: Metro Bank Clapham High Street

Saper Glass are delighted to announce that they have secured another Metro bank, this time in Clapham High Street. The scope of works within this refurbishment of an existing retail unit is to includes all of the external shopfront glazing into polished stainless steel perimeter frames which follow the perimeter of this corner plot as a series of double height glazed screens formed in PILKINGTON PLANAR with a curved feature screen at the corner. Internally there are glass barriers located around the first floor mezzanine area and glass partitioning forming a client meeting room and a security lobby to prevent unauthorised access into the upper area. Clapham High Street will be Saper’s 25th Metro Bank project.

Project: 45 Cannon Street

Saper Glass are delighted to announce that they have secured the contract to provide the ground floor glazing within this newly constructed 8 storey office building in the heart of London’s financial district. Our works comprised of the supply and installation of 16 individual glazed facades and 4 sets of frameless glass doors stretching around the buildings perimeter along Cannon Street and Bow Lane. The facades are of a single glazed construction set within an aluminium curtain walling perimeter framing system. The doorsets will be set back behind the façade line within a recessed lobby detail to enable outward opening. The lobbies are to be finished externally with powder coated aluminium cladding which also forms part of our scope.

Project: Metro Bank Peterborough

Saper Glass are delighted to announce that they have secured another Metro bank, this time in the city of Peterborough. The scope of works within this refurbishment of an existing High Street retail unit includes the external shopfront glazing into polished stainless steel perimeter frames and frameless glass entrance doors. Internally there will also be glass partitioning forming a client meeting room. Peterborough will be Saper’s 24th Metro Bank project.

Project: The Glebe, Chelsea

Saper Glass are delighted to announce that they have secured the internal glazing package on what is destined to become one of if not the most desirable address in London. Set within an acre of land on the site of a former school, the development comprises Glebe Place, the main building which house six luxurious apartments and a duplex penthouse plus two self contained detached villas set away from the main building within their own private grounds. Our works are within these villas, each of which is a five floor, seven-bedroom property boasting a private swimming pool and every conceivable feature imaginable. Our scope comprises of numerous glazed screens, doorsets and shower enclosures throughout the villas which include fire rated screens featuring our frameless LUNAX fire resistant doors and high performance acoustic glazing.

Project: Harwell Quad 1, Oxfordshire

Saper Glass are delighted to announce that they have secured been selected to supply the atrium glazing for the new Quad 1 laboratory building currently being constructed on the Harwell Campus in Didcott. The works comprise of a continuous glazed atrium screen spanning over two floors. The screen is required to be both an attractive architectural feature as well as a safe structural barrier and the architect wanted to achieve a flush finish to the glazing with no visible fixings. We were able to achieve this using PILKINGTON PLANAR INTEGRAL, a special variant of the Planar system which uses toughened and laminated glass and specially designed countersunk bolts that set into the glass panel during manufacture behind the outer pane so have no external projection. The panels needs to be located in front of the slab edge to achieve the required continuous flush appearance and the panels will incorporate painted spandrel bands within their construction which will conceal both the fixings bolts and the floor slab build up from external view.

Project: Congress House

Saper Glass are delighted to announce that they have been selected to supply the new ground floor facades required as part of the ongoing refurbishment of this fully occupied 1950’s building. The works in this phase are focused largely on the southern half of the ground floor which is being refurbished to provide new office space and facilities. Our works comprise of single storey glazed facades formed in JANSEN VISS curtain walling, including a 30 metre expanse of 90-minute fire resistant glazing which runs along the full length of the Bainbridge Street elevation. In addition, we are creating a new entrance façade which leading into a new reception area which also includes an external feature screen formed using highly decorative glass which has been designed by the renowned German artist Eva Berendes.

Project: Barclays Bank, South Colonnade, Canary Wharf

Saper Glass are delighted to have been selected to provide fire resistant glazed doorset to lift lobbies within this prestigious project at Canary Wharf. Using our VISITEC FR narrow stile door system we are providing twenty contemporary styled fire resistant entrance screens leading from the lift lobbies to office space on various floors. Each of these screens incorporates a pair of narrow stile glazed doors centrally featuring just 20mm wide vertical stiles and fully latchless operation.

Project: 33 Queen Street, London

Saper Glass are delighted to announce that they have secured the architectural glazing package on this prestigious project in the City of London. This five floor 52,600 Sq ft building is being fully refurbished to provide prime office space with existing tenants, The London Chamber of Commerce relocating to new office space on the ground and basement levels. Our works comprise of the glass and architectural metalwork package to the front façade of the building and include a new entrance façade flanked either side with large feature display windows both of which are framed within antique finished brass reveals. We are also providing architectural hand railing and aluminium coping and facia panels to external balcony areas on levels 4 and 5. These are finished in a dramatic combination of black anodised aluminium and antique brass.

Project: Anchorage House, London

Saper Glass are delighted to announce that they have secured the atrium glazing package within this 9 floor Docklands based office building. As part of a renovation scheme the current atrium area is being partially infilled with an exposed glulam frame and CLT slabs to aesthetically improve upon the building’s original 90s style interior and increase lettable office space. The existing glazing system will be fully removed and replaced with a series of very large, bespoke timber framed glazed screens each incorporating floor to ceiling toughened and laminated glass panels designed to operate as structural barriers without handrails.

Project: 160 Aldersgate, London

Saper Glass are delighted to announce that they have been selected to supply glass wall cladding and mirrors within the new toilet cores as part of the extensive refurbishment of this 1980’s office building. The scheme will provide 266,000 Sq ft of prime office space over 8 floors and our works include the supply and installation of some 1,000 SQM of back painted glass wall cladding and mirrors within toilets on all floors.
