ALL GLASS SHOPFRONTS
Frameless glass frontages are used extensively by many major retail groups. Not only does an all glass frontage enhance the visual appearance of the store, it provides the maximum possible display area, and invites customers into the store by effectively removing the visible barrier present in a traditional shopfront. Larger and more elaborate assembles are also possible using structurally glazed systems, further details of which can be found in our Structural Glass Applications data sheet.
Frameless glass doors are by no means a new innovation, and whilst the basic principles have remained the same since the 1950’s, the range of products available to suit glass door applications has evolved to an extent where all but the most specialist of door application can now be achieved in glass.

DOMESTIC DOORS
The use of glass in domestic applications continues to grow in popularity. Interior designers generally consider standard commercial door systems to be too heavy and bulky for domestic use, and a full range of glass door solutions designed specifically for the domestic market is available from Saper Glass. These include hinged doors with lever operated latch locks that can be used as a direct replacement for a typical timber door, and sliding doors that provide solutions where space is at a premium. One of the main reasons why the use of glass has become more popular in the home is the range of colours and finishes that can be achieved. Most people think of glass as being clear and transparent, however glass can be provided in a number of colours, textures and any degree of obscurity from clear to fully opaque. Further details on our range of available glass finishes can be found in our Glass Design and Decoration data sheet.

SHOWER CUBICLES
Frameless glass shower doors and screens are now a feature in many hotel rooms and sports centres but also work equally well within a domestic bathroom. An all glass shower enclosure removes all of the design limitations present in a typical framed system, and by using clear acrylic seals, visible ironmongery is reduced to an absolute minimum. A frameless enclosure lends itself particularly well to special applications, and systems can be designed to suit any size of shower tray or bath. A comprehensive range of shower systems are available from Saper Glass providing options for hinged or pivoting doors, sliding doors, and even curved doors.
